qualifications
Essential criteria
- Accredited degree or equivalent Certificate to Practice (SLT) • Registered with HCPC (Health care Professionals Council)
- Completion of highly specialist accredited courses in dysphagia management
Desirable criteria
- post-graduate training in leadership / management or relevant experience.
Skills and knowledge
Essential criteria
- Highly comprehensive applied theoretical knowledge and experience of the assessment, diagnosis, and management of acute dysphagia
- Evidence of providing SLT interventions for feeding infants and children
- Experience in the use of videofluoroscopy for paediatric dysphagia
- Skilled in interpreting and communicating outcomes of SLT assessment /treatment plans to other professionals
experience
Essential criteria
- Significant experience of working within an acute hospital setting with children with feeding / swallowing problems and speech and language impairment
- Experience at specialist level in relevant field of paediatric dysphagia
- experience of working within a multi -disciplinary team
- Experience of line management/ clinical supervision for less experienced staff
- Good leadership experience and ability

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
