As Senior Accountant, you will work as a part of the Accounts Team member with responsibility for ensuring the day to day accounting and controls, preparation of monthly management accounts and ensuring successful completion of various month end tasks. As a Senior Accountant you will supervise stock, revenue, PPE, intercompany operations and statutory reporting.

You are highly motivated; you will be capable of working independently and as a part of a team. You will be able to manage multiple deliverables while showing accuracy and adherence to tight deadlines and controls around accounting.

You will work in a fast-paced and within a constantly evolving environment

Key responsibilities:

Provide revenue reconciliations and all necessary controls, reconcile the underlying balance sheet accounts

  • Proactively deliver stock accounting and reconciliation processes to enhance control, align with policy and deliver process transformation
  • Proactively business partnering and relationship building with other functions, to embed stock management processes and behaviors and drive a greater understanding of stock movements (COGS, stock provisions, stock adjustments, net margin)
  • Prepare and review monthly P&L and balance sheet reconciliations and ensure all discrepancies are resolved in a timely basis.
  • Ensure all month end journals are hard posted into the finance system (SAP FI)
  • Managing Intercompany payables/receivables/ account reconciliations
  • Prepare quarterly balance sheet, P&L analysis, review and remediation
  • Liaise with the Group External auditors to ensure deliverables are ready for the statutory and group audits.
  • Other ad-hoc tasks and projects as required
  • Embrace change and continuously seek out improvements.

We are looking for people who have:

  • Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant
  • Experience of working in retail preferable
  • Experience of working with Audit/Audit background preferable.
  • Experience with preparation of statutory accounts for UK legal entities
  • SAP experience preferred
