Senior Account Manager

Our Senior Account Managers (SAM's) at Smyle are focused on cultivating and developing strong client relationships to ensure we maintain, grow and diversify the accounts we have in the business. They offer strategic support and commercial diligence to the delivery teams across multiple client projects to allow us to produce the highest quality experiences and support business growth.
Key Accountabilities
- Build and maintain trusted relationships that ensure stability, and long term visibility in our clients business planning and account growth for Smyle
- Laser focus on ownership of commercial growth and profitability on your accounts, against set targets.
- Own the client delivery focusing on their key objectives overseeing multiple projects
- Development of business and sector insights and knowledge to support relevant, strategic approach to clients and projects
- Development and ownership of account plans and actions to drive growth
- Development of key relationships at all levels within the client business, both existing and across new areas of the client's business, taking senior level account leadership
- Provide leadership and support to unpack client briefs and deliver pitches including direction setting, creative feedback, budget support and ensuring high performing collaborative teams - be a brand ambassador for our clients internally and help integrate the team cohesively
- Support delivery teams to ensure projects are delivered on brief, on budget with a focus on driving commercial success for Smyle and the client working in collaboration with the entire team
- Identification of skills and resources required to deliver projects and activities within the account, working with internal resourcing to build the right teams on pitches and projects
- Taking the client comms lead in project planning and delivery
- Working closely with the project leads to maintain GP across projects
- Attending live events and projects to offer client leadership
- Add your voice to our Smyle community, and represent our behaviours and values as an ambassador for the agency
- All other duties appropriate to the role
Skills & Experience
- Strong background in a comparable role within events, experiences, content and brand activations
- Strong relationship manager with the ability to build long term relationships based on trust
- Creative thinker with a proactive and entrepreneurial spirit
- Exceptional communication skills, with ability to build rapport and adapt approach with colleagues and clients
- Excellent presentation and organisational skills
- Ability to operate at a fast and flexible pace
- Results oriented, with proven experience of supporting and driving successful Account growth
- Resilient under pressure with the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy & adhere to high standards of quality when working to tight deadlines
- Commercially strong; experience of managing high revenue clients and project budgets with a focus on driving margin for the agency
