What your role is

Reporting to the UK&I Sales Finance Manager, this position will play a lead Finance role in delivering multi-million dollar Sales and profit targets and shape future strategy for our key customers in the Grocery channel. The Finance Partner will act as an effective Business Partner as part of the Customer Leadership team and contribute to the implementation of strategies that create value via Strategic Revenue Management across the UK&I.

Finance Business Partner to the Customer Sales Team:

  • Lead quality decisions and provide relevant insights and analysis to ensure the chosen business options deliver the highest financial value at an acceptable level of risk.
  • Monitor analyse and interpret pricing, trade terms and post event analysis, and provide input to trading strategies to improve long term profitability.
  • Develop and prepare internal tracking, analysis and reporting of trading plans against customer strategic vision, to drive growth and improve profitability through insights and visibility of key drivers
  • Provide insightful analysis on monthly and quarterly Net Sales performance, and drivers of forecast movements vs previous cycle and Account Plan
  • Challenge and influence trade governance performance and sales forecast accuracy to ensure continuous improvement against a range of business KPIs, in a fast-paced environment.

What you will bring to the team

  • Qualified Accountant Professional of graduate calibre
  • Prior experience working in the Commercial sector, preferably the branded food/drink or FMCG sector
  • Minimum 3 years of commercial financial analysis experience (working with leading brands)
  • Experience of effectively Business Partnering cross-functional teams - can demonstrate ability to build strong relationships and engender trust throughout the organization.
  • Strong analytical skills with a commercial mindset
  • Leadership and influencing skills
  • Clear, concise, and influential communicator (both in writing and verbally)
  • Proactive and results orientated
  • Ability to critically review and improve business processes
  • Effective prioritisation and organisation skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Eagerness to learn and progress
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (Modelling, Pivots, Slicers, Index, Match, Lookups, Macro's) and PowerPoint
  • SAP ERP, SAP CRM, BW Systems experience an advantage
