Job Description

Within this role, you will report to the Head of Security for the UK and Ireland. You will play a pivotal role in supporting the transition to a new security supplier, enhancing the overall safety and efficiency of our operations. You will also assume responsibility for managing the relationship with the new security supplier, ensuring the service level agreements are met, whilst driving continuous improvement. This is a field-based role with elements of remote work and regular visits to our Nottingham and Stratford offices, Retail Shops, Stadia and the Monitoring Arc.

What you will do:

  • Support the transition to a new maintenance provider with technical expert knowledge of security and monitoring products.
  • Working closely with our Monitoring ARC to ensure a smooth transition for our systems, ensuring minimal disruption.
  • Partner closely with both entities offering guidance and technical expertise. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with contractors to ensure system and product stability during and post transition.
  • Training and Technical Support. Provide comprehensive training and ongoing technical support to the new security supplier, ensuring they are equipped to meet business needs.
  • Supplier SLA Management. Manage the Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with the new security supplier, continuously working to refine and improve performance metrics.
  • KPI and Performance Monitoring. Work closely with the Head of Security to report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and the performance of the new security supplier, driving continuous improvement.
  • Efficiency and Cost Reduction. Drive operational efficiency by analyzing key statistics and implementing strategies to reduce security costs year-on-year.
  • Security Equipment Analysis. Working with the Head of Security and Risk Managers, conduct thorough assessments of current security equipment and work with suppliers to enhance the safety and security of our shop teams.
  • Ensuring consistent onsite oversight of security third parties' suppliers for works carried out in the field, ensuring agreed quality standards are met.
  • Approval Process Management. Oversee the approval process for equipment requests and remedial quotes, ensuring compliance with internal standards.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with stakeholders.
  • Working with Head of Security in the development of the latest technology in computer based and physical security products to improve efficiencies.
  • Daily operations of security and safety vendors providing services, life safety systems and specific product training.
  • Proactive analysis of our security and safety systems to review.
  • Develop an enhanced Performance Management Regime to improve efficiencies and equipment standard within retail shops and Stadia.
  • Any other duties commensurate to the post as designated by the Senior Risk & Security Management.

Who you are:

  • Do you have industry experience: At least 5 years of management experience within the security sector, with a proven track record of success?
  • Do you have sector knowledge: Strong understanding of a large betting or retail estate, including shop operations and relevant security equipment?
  • Do you have technical expertise: Advanced knowledge of the Staffguard solution, including its integration with other shop equipment and systems?
  • Do you have experience in a similar middle management position?
