The Peninsula London is delighted to announce that we are hiring a Security Officer- Loading Bay to assist the Director and the Assistant Director of Security and Operational Risk in managing, training and evaluating the daily security operations ensuring the Safety and Security of The Peninsula London guests, residents, colleagues and hotel assets.

Key accountabilities
- Ensure the highest level of safety and security is maintained at all times
- Maintain exemplary levels of presentation, visibility and professionalism and those of the security officers
- Be thoroughly familiar with the outlay of the hotel building including entrances and exits and ensure the security thereof
- Have a working knowledge of the hotel's guest room lock system and in-house safes and be able to assist guests and colleagues as required
- Deal promptly and correctly with all 'Lost and Found' property in accordance with hotel policy and supervise security officers to ensure their compliance
- Review and conduct security officer performance evaluations to ensure the highest levels of performance
- Assist in providing ongoing training for security officers and hotel colleagues in hotel emergency plan, fire, safety, and security to ensure the highest levels of compliance
- Ability to perform all daily tasks required of the security officers and provide guidance and training to security officers in their tasks
- Monitor security and safety systems and programs to maintain correct and accurate function
- Supervise security officers to ensure all posts are manned as required and tasks are performed in a timely manner
- Maintain relevant S.I.A license and first aid certification
General requirements
- Previous track record of relevant working experience in similar capacity in a similar environment preferred.
- Strong ability to learn and work as part of a team.
- A can-do attitude.
- An understanding of security industry best practice across relevant security operations (loss prevention, conflict resolution, access control...).
- The ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
- Fluent English communication proficiency. Expertise in a second language would be desirable.
- This position requires the fulfilment of night shift duties based on the operational needs of the business. The ability and willingness to work during these hours is a necessary condition of employment.
