Detailed job description and main responsibilities
• Lead on the management and strategic development of the Trusts Security, Car Parking, Building Access and CCTV services along with the Trusts Support Services - Capital, Estates & Facilities (CEF) Helpdesk, CEF Administration team, medical devices, GMMH Trust Switchboard, maximising the use of technologies and systems within these areas that will enable the department to work more efficiently

  • Drive continuous improvements and maximise the end user experience for all associated services, applying analytical skills to diagnose problems or complex service issues within systems or processes; and developing solutions and making clear recommendations or decisions based on the best course of action/treatment.
  • Undertake the full range of leadership and managerial duties relating to the management of facilities services you have responsibility for. This includes judgements on resource management, performance management, investigation and disciplinary issues relating to the directly employed workforce and contracted service providers
  • Undertake detailed analysis of service provisions and performance data for all associated services as required and develop strategies and plans to improve service provision in a cost effective and efficient manner.
  • Produce Business intelligence, comparisons, trends, summary and narrative and investigate any areas of concern. Analyse, interpret and present data to highlight issues, risks and support Directorate decision making

Person specification

Knowledge/Qualifications

Essential criteria

  • Professional support services and business management knowledge to degree equivalent plus further management experience or training to post graduate diploma level or equivalent
  • Level 3 Computer Software qualification eg ECDL or equivalent
  • CCTV & Security related qualification

Desirable criteria

  • NVQ level 4 or equivalent in Customer Service qualification

Experience

Essential criteria

  • Minimum 3-5 years experience working in a Senior Management role
  • Experience of managing and developing, switchboard, helpdesk, car parking, CCTV and security systems
  • Experience of managing varying groups of staff and departments
  • Understanding of Helpdesk and switchboard functionalities

Desirable criteria

  • Experience of manging and delivering improvements in a customer focused environment
  • Experience of working within a healthcare environment
  • Experience of contracts from development to tendering and completion stage

Service & Personal Development

Essential criteria

  • Experience of developing services
  • Evidence of personal development
