What you’ll be doing:

• Maintain awareness of current and emerging policies and their impact on existing security practices across submarine supply chain Industry Parties
• Provide tailored and pragmatic security advice to those members of the submarine supply chain staff who are employed by the Industry Parties
• Support submarine supply chain staff employed by the Industry Parties to understand and fulfil their personal security responsibilities to the Ministry of Defence and their Industry employer
• Liaise with local security staff at sites controlled by the Industry Parties where the submarine supply chain staff work, to support security risk management and assurance, as required
• Support the completion of risk/threat assessments conducted by DE&S, SPBO or partner security assurance teams with stakeholders and contribute to the development of effective mitigation solutions
• Support the development of the submarine supply chain internal governance and assurance process and procedure, as designed by the SPBO Sy team
• Support the development of submarine supply chain culture and awareness outputs, as designed by the SPBO Sy team, such as internal staff communications
• Support effective breach and incident reporting and response across the submarine supply chain/Create and maintain security databases

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

• Full UK Driving License is essential for this role

Desirable:

• Member of the Security Institute
• Level 3 Security Management Qualification (or equivalent)
• Previous experience within a Government Security Profession or security consultancy role

The Submarine Production Business Operations (SPBO) Team:

The role of Industry Security Advisor, based within the SPBO security team, is to provide tailored security advice and support effective collaboration on matters of security management, focused towards the Alliance Industry Parties: BAE Systems Submarines, Rolls Royce Submarines, Babcock and down the supply chain.
