About The Role:

The Finance team is seeking a Finance Manager to lead and enhance the finance function within the Secret Group. Collectively, Secret Cinema, Studio Secret Cinema, and TodayTix Live are the live production arm of TodayTix Group. Our projects inspire Collective Effervescence in live audiences. Secret Cinema shows are immersive riffs on popular culture, inviting audiences to experience the cinematic and forget the real world - and themselves. Otherwise projects can be anything; 5000 capacity festivals, one-night corporate parties, technology driven linear adventures, free roaming chaos, and pretty much anything else imaginable.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced in change management with a background in accounting and finance business partnering. Reporting directly to the VP of Finance in London, you'll be responsible for high-quality accounting, monthly reporting, and developing finance capabilities, systems, and processes within the Secret Group. You will work closely with the Production, Marketing, and Partnerships teams to ensure effective financial management and support industry-specific functions like production accounting, investor models, and cashflow management.

Please note: this is a full-time position, and qualified candidates must be based in the greater London area. We encourage collaboration by working a minimum of 2 days per week in the office, while also offering flexibility for employees to choose where they work for the rest of the week.

What You'll Do:

    • Produce timely, accurate and relevant monthly management accounts including assisting with commentary
    • Perform balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis
    • Calculate and posting accruals and prepayments across different statutory entities
    • Review expenditures of the company such as cost of sales, payroll and overheads
    • Prepare and submit periodic financial reports to management
    • Preparation of quarterly VAT returns
    • Process income statements, balance sheets and other management account reports, under the supervision of the UK Finance Manager
    • Assist with statutory audits
    • Assist with industry specific tax reliefs
    • Support on various improvement projects, such as streamlining accounting processes, onboarding new acquisitions, and improvements in financial operations processes such as AP/AR

We're Looking for Someone With:

    • Part-Qualified accountant undertaking ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent
    • Relevant experience in an accounting environment, tech or production background desirable
    • Excellent Excel Skills
    • Experience of the key areas of accounting processes and systems, including management accounts, trial balance and nominal ledger, purchase and sales ledgers, banking and cash management, VAT, payroll, budgeting and monitoring
    • High attention to detail
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • An analytical and problem-solving mind-set to understand, challenge and ask the relevant questions
    • Ability to work well in a team
    • Proactive and enthusiastic approach
