School Business Manager

Aldrington CE Primary School is looking for a highly motivated, skilled individual to join our senior team as school business manager.

In this crucial role, you will manage school finance, human resources, data protection and health and safety as leader of a dedicated, proactive office team and lead on estate management in liaison with the premises manager.

Paid weeks per year: 45.05 (inclusive of holiday entitlement, dependent on any existing years of service)

Start date: 1st September 2026, with agreed paid induction/handover prior to this.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience from a similar role within an education setting or equivalent;
  • Proficiency in financial management, budgeting and procurement, personnel procedures and resource allocation;
  • A comprehensive understanding of health and safety compliance, safeguarding protocols and estate management;
  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail;
  • Effective leadership and management of administrative staff;
  • Ability to work strategically alongside the Headteacher and Governors.

This post is for 37 hours a week term-time only (worked 39 weeks per year), Monday to Friday, (8.30am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am to 4.30pm on Fridays, or equivalent, with an unpaid lunch break).

Grade M11, £39,862 to £42,839 pro rata. Actual £34,534 to £37,113.
