Wren's Nest Primary School is based in the heart of the Black Country in Central Dudley. It is a successful school with a growing pupil roll of 550 pupils. We are a dynamic and exciting school with a passion for making a difference and improving outcomes and achievement for every child.

We are seeking to appoint a committed, enthusiastic School Business Manager to join the staff of our happy and successful school. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team which is ambitious for the success of all, where children have positive attitudes and a love of learning and where staff are valued and well supported by parents and governors.

Status: 30 hours per week, to be worked over 4 days. All year round, permanent appointment

Salary: Grade 9 Scale Points 28 - 31

As a School Business Manager, you will need to have:

  • Excellent organisation and communications skills.
  • High standards and expectations of themselves and effective leadership of the team they manage.
  • Experience and skills in financial management, including budgetary planning and control and auditing.
  • A high level of IT literacy (a working knowledge of LA systems, Integris and Agresso would be an advantage but not essential)
  • Experience of HR and Facilities management (including responsibility for Health and Safety)
  • Initiative with the ability to work independently, as part of a team and to lead and manage several teams across school.
  • Enthusiasm for being involved in all aspects of school life and ability to work across and with the whole school community.
