Job Description
We are seeking experienced Consultants (Scheme Project Managers) to join our Transportation Business Line to safely deliver £1-10m portfolios of challenging rail infrastructure projects, for clients such as Network Rail, Transport for London, HS2, Train Operating Companies and many more. You will be responsible for leading a high performing team and will be instrumental in the growth of Egis.
These roles are permanent positions based in Manchester, York or Leeds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accountable for the delivery of low complex projects or parts of complex projects in a safe & environmentally responsible manner to time, cost and quality standards.
- Manage multi-disciplinary teams including commercial, programme controls, engineering, and others to identify solutions to client requirements and establish a robust baseline plan.
- Support Senior Consultants in project reporting to the programme board.
- Identify project risks and opportunities, updating project registers and implementing mitigation measures.
- Hold project reviews with multiple stakeholders through the project lifecycle and provide evaluations of progress against the baseline.
- Experience of stakeholder management and understanding the levels of influence and interests stakeholders have on projects.
- Administer supply chain contracts, providing forecasts and effectively managing change.
Qualifications
- Rail experience is essential
- Member of the Association of Project Management (or equivalent) or working towards membership
- A degree or equivalent
- Relevant experience in managing projects to time, cost and quality standards
- Experience implementing GRIP, PACE, Pathway or other project management methodologies
- Contract administration experience
- Ability to interrogate project programmes (P6 and/or MSP)
- Financial management/control experience
- You must have the Right to work in the UK
