About Engage

Engage are a full-service sports marketing agency who, since 2012, have helped ambitious governing bodies, sports teams and sponsors become future fit. Operating in the UK, India, Australia and the US, we offer round the clock delivery to sports brands including the International Cricket Council (ICC), Real Madrid, Godolphin, New Zealand Rugby and Formula 1.

Job Description:

We're looking for an account manager with exceptional sports knowledge who will be responsible for being the link between our international sports clients and our internal teams. You would be managing multiple client accounts, ensuring campaigns have the correct resource, come in on budget and meet deadlines and quality expectations. You will be responsible for overseeing a number of different projects such as; delivering graphics, videos or worldwide shoots and fully-loaded services including publishing and data analytics.

We need someone with a passion for sports and social media, who knows what the latest trends are and can identify what will help our clients be at the cutting edge in their sector. The ideal candidates will also be able to spot opportunities for sales and growth, and have the communication skills to forge relationships to help develop the business as a whole. On a day-to-day basis you would be a point of contact for the clients, delegating tasks, seeking status updates from departments across the company including our editors, graphic designers, digital analysts, social media managers and production coordinators. As our sports clients are global we need someone with international experience who can liaise with overseas crews and understand how their delivery differs from UK requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing the day-to-day delivery for multiple clients on a range of services and projects including graphics, videos, publishing and data analytics - all from concept to delivery
  • Delegate tasks to relevant internal departments and seek status reports
  • Manage the relationship with client contacts including updating on the status of projects
  • Liaise with senior management to report any issues
  • Monitor budget spend with Operations Director and Account Director
  • Working closing with our Creative Development, Audience Development, Insights and Graphic and Content teams to ensure departments are well utilised for client deliverables
  • Managing onsite and oversee crews either in person or remotely
  • Working closely with remote global team, ensuring high levels of communication and support
  • Ensure resource allocation is able to produce deliverables and help source and manage international resource as required, including management of resource using the Certinia platform
  • Advise clients on best practices, solutions and future developments
  • Monitor trends in social media in order to devise innovative content strategies and campaigns
  • Take responsibility for monitoring project KPIs, working closely with the insights team
  • Work with business development team to expand business prospects from both current and potential new clients
  • Contribute to creative strategy, trying new ideas and an ability to capture fun, engaging content
  • Keeping up to date with trends across social media, online video and sports output internationally

Key skills and knowledge:

  • In-depth knowledge and passion for international sports including knowledge of how the different markets vary
  • A background working as an account manager/ project manager
  • Experience working across a range of digital platforms, with a background in either social content production or social media management
  • Experience working to client briefs and working with external parties to make recommendations and encourage developments
  • Strong client management skills and experience of delivering KPIs
  • Experience working on site in the UK and abroad
  • Good listener who enjoys problem solving
  • Interest in new technologies and opportunities for content creation
  • Excellent organisational skills with clear attention to detail
  • Strong editorial sensibility - able to identify strong content that will perform well on digital/social platforms
  • Experience in leading and managing a team
  • Experience of monitoring and keeping to budgets
