We are now seeking a SAP Technical Operations Manager to join our team. The SAP Technical Operations Lead is responsible for the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of the SAP landscape across the Aerospace group. This role oversees SAP technical operations, coordinates with functional & infrastructure teams, manages service providers, and ensures that SAP systems meet business, security, compliance, and performance requirements.

Your responsibilities

• Lead the SAP Technical team consisting of SAP BASIS, SAP ABAP, SAP CPI, Security, Data, Change Management and Audit resources on the delivery of technical solutions and support services.
• Own the end to end technical landscape for all Aerospace SAP systems including SAP ECC, SAP GTS, SAP BW/4HANA, SAP S/4HANA, SAP MDG and SAP BTP services
• Lead day to day technical operations for the SAP and integrated systems within the estate
• Manage relationships with hosting and support providers ensuring the availability and maintenance of the SAP systems
• Validate the technical architecture and design of solutions ensuring compliance
• Oversee audit and compliance activities with internal and external auditors
• Drive continuous improvement of the SAP Technical solutions and operation processes
• Implement proactive measures to reduce downtime and improve service reliability
• Lead major incident management (war room, coordination, communications, recovery actions and RCA).

Who we are looking for

• Proven experience of hands on experience in SAP technical areas
• Experience in a leadership/management role within an SAP team
• Experience working with SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, SAP Fiori, SAP BW/4HANA, SAP GTS, SAP MDG and related technologies
• Experience working with SAP systems hosted on Window and Linux operating systems
• Experience working with SAP systems utilising SAP HANA and Microsoft SQL Server databases
• An understanding of on-prem & cloud infrastructure, security and networking
• ITIL processes, major incident management, RCA facilitation.
