We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Salesforce Technical Architect Director to join our leadership team. The ideal candidate will have enterprise-level architectural expertise across a critical mass of products offered by Salesforce (including but not limited to most of the following: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Experience Cloud, AgentForce, Data 360, vertical industry products, Mulesoft, Tableau, etc.). This role demands an exceptional ability to translate complex business challenges into innovative, scalable, and robust Salesforce architectural solutions that drive significant business value for our clients. You will be a self-motivated, independent problem solver who is passionate about delving into intricate details, raising pertinent questions, making informed recommendations, and driving impactful results at an executive level.

As a Salesforce Technical Director, you will be a pivotal leader in our client engagements, responsible for the overall technical vision and architectural integrity of large-scale Salesforce transformations. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Architectural Leadership: Lead the architectural design, development, and implementation of complex, multi-cloud Salesforce solutions, ensuring they align with client business objectives and enterprise architecture standards.
  • Strategic Solutioning: Provide architectural leadership and oversight throughout the entire project lifecycle, from pre-sales, discovery and business case definition through to deployment and post-implementation support, ensuring technical excellence and client satisfaction.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate architectural risks, technical debt, and design challenges, developing robust strategies to ensure solution stability and scalability.
  • Technical Governance: Lead and facilitate architectural design, data model, and integration workshops with client executives, business stakeholders, and engineering teams, establishing best practices and governance frameworks.
  • Executive Communication: Clearly translate and communicate complex technical requirements and architectural solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences, including C-suite executives, using compelling story-based narratives.
  • Ecosystem Expertise: Leverage deep knowledge of the entire Salesforce ecosystem, including new and upcoming features, to recommend innovative and efficient solutions that drive competitive advantage.
  • Mentorship & Development: Mentor and guide other architects, technical leads, and development teams, fostering a culture of technical excellence, continuous learning, and adherence to architectural best practices.
  • Pre-Sales & Business Development: Act as a key technical resource in pre-sales activities, contributing to proposals, solutioning, effort estimations, and presenting Deloitte's capabilities to prospective clients.
  • Platform Specialisation: Function as a technical solution specialist across the Salesforce ecosystem, with deep expertise in areas such as data architecture, integration patterns, security models, identity management, large data volumes, and performance optimisation.
  • Documentation & Standards: Oversee and maintain key architectural documentation, including solution designs, data models, integration specifications, and technical standards for designated workstreams.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the system's architectural integrity, scalability, and maintainability, guiding development teams to deliver high-quality, robust solutions.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with client technical and business leadership, acting as a trusted advisor on all Salesforce architectural matters.

You'll have strong technical and leadership skills including:

  • Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) certification is highly preferred, or a clear demonstration of equivalent enterprise-level architectural experience and a strong commitment to achieving CTA.
  • Extensive experience in architecting and delivering large-scale, complex Salesforce solutions across multiple clouds (e.g., Sales, Service, Marketing, Experience, Data Cloud, Commerce).
  • Proven experience leading end-to-end Salesforce implementations as a Lead Architect or CTA.
  • Deep understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities, limitations, and best practices for customisation, integration, and data management.
  • Expertise in enterprise integration patterns, data migration strategies, enterprise security architecture, and performance tuning within the Salesforce ecosystem.
  • Proficiency in designing scalable data models and understanding the implications of large data volumes (LDV) on Salesforce architecture.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and team-building skills, with experience guiding and developing technical teams.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, including C-level executives.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices in a Salesforce context.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and priorities in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
  • A personal drive to lead AI driven delivery innovation across the Software Delivery Life Cycle
  • Demonstrable experience in pre-sales activities and bid response, including solutioning, effort estimation, along with presenting and influencing to win the hearts and minds of prospective clients.

Our hybrid working policy

You'll be based in either London, Bristol, Manchester, Glasgow or Edinburgh with hybrid working.
