The Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) Platform Manager is the subject matter expert for the technology aspects of Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC). To manage the technical configuration of SFMC and ensure that it meets all requirements of the business from a technical, security, functional and performance perspective. The SFMC Platform Manager will upskill colleagues across the organisation, fostering a deep understanding of best practices for effective platform management and utilisation

Some of the great things you'll be doing:
• SFMC Platform Expert & Optimiser: Be a SFMC subject matter expert, collaborating with Product, Revenue, and Marketing to ensure the platform meets business requirements and aligns with Salesforce best practices. Stay updated on platform releases, industry trends, and AI applications to drive continuous improvement and scalability.
• Data & Journey Builder: Support Marketing Operations with data ingestion and audience building using SQL in Automation Studio, troubleshoot data quality issues, and develop custom steps in Journey Builder using AMPScript. Ensure clear communication with stakeholders to align on priorities.
• Documentation & Knowledge Advocate: Create and maintain technical documentation and training resources to foster long-term knowledge sharing and platform sustainability.
• Integrator & Security Advocate: Manage SFMC integrations across MarTech platforms, uphold security standards, and oversee release management and version control. Ensure comprehensive control over user permissions, logging, and monitoring for both internal and third-party users.
What we'd like to see from you:
• Expert experience using SFMC to build and develop campaigns and audiences: adept in Automation Studio, Contact Builder, Journey Builder, and Email Studio.
• Advanced expertise in SQL with proficiency in at least one additional language: AMPScript, SSJS, or JavaScript.
• Proficient in CI/CD practices and tools: ensuring efficient workflows and streamlined development processes
• Certified in SFMC: holding relevant certifications such as Marketing Cloud Administrator or Marketing Cloud Developer.
• Skilled in other marketing technologies and their integration: bringing a broad understanding of the MarTech landscape.
• Strong communicator: with the ability to simplify complex technical topics: effectively engaging non-technical stakeholders
• Experienced in collaborative work across technical and non-technical communities: fostering productive and inclusive interactions.
• Accustomed to working in regulated environments with a strong focus on data privacy and data security.
