Sales Operations Executive

Our Sales Operations team are looking for a Sales Operations Executive to assist with maintaining the appropriate level of stock for physical titles. This is a busy position and would suit someone with some previous publishing or inventory experience, excellent data analysis and Excel skills, and good commercial awareness.  The role is open to part time applications to cover the role over a minimum 3 days/ 22.5 hours a week. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain stock availability through daily stock and sales data analysis and liaising with sales teams

  • Suggest appropriate reprint quantities and create reprint meeting agendas

  • Liaise with the production department on costings for weekly sign off meetings

  • Deal with queries business wide regarding customer orders and stock availability.

  • Act as a key link between various areas in the business, in particular between distribution, home and export sales and commercial finance

  • Identify overstocks and run excess stock meetings

Experience and Skills Required

  • Knowledge of stock management processes and sales operations

  • Commercially aware, with good numerical and analytical skills

  • Confident in data manipulation within Excel

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to develop productive working relationships with relevant stakeholders

  • Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail

  • Ability to learn new processes and systems

  • A self-confident individual who works well under pressure

Desirable

  • An understanding of sales operations within a bookselling or publishing environment

  • Experience of working with Amazon
