Role: Sales Manager Security
Location: Bracknell, London or Birmingham based (SCC operate hybrid working, which comprises of a mix of office and home working)
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary Package: Competitive base salary plus large company benefits, a broad flexible benefits scheme, and 2 paid-for volunteering days a year
Hours: 9.00 am - 5.30 pm, Monday - Friday

Role purpose:
Lead a sales teams to achieve against target and grow the security business in line with the 3 year business plan. Deliver operational excellence to a very broad set of existing customers and new business prospects across both public sector and commercial territories.
Key responsibilities:
- Build and maintain relationships with the wider SCC management team, ensuring that the sales team are familiar with all of SCC's service offerings.
- Build and maintain relationships with the senior contacts of the customers and prospects within the named accounts.
- Build and maintain relationships with the vendors who operate in the account set.
- Carry out regular performance reviews, support people development initiatives and ensure all team members are performing to the relevant expectations.
- Implement performance improvement initiatives for under performers.
- Increase BU penetration within account set.
- Day to day leadership and coaching of the sales team. The creation and ongoing management of a pipeline of opportunity in line with the expectation of the business, weekly forecasting and overall financial management of the territory.
Skills and experience:
- Ideally, existing contacts in the vendor community or a demonstrable track record of having built and maintained external partner relationships.
- Ability to manage virtual teams, communicate and motivate teams effectively and bring together a coherent message for the customer.
- Be able to manage healthy conflict.
- Be able to hold relationships at board level and demonstrate a track record of having done so.
- Proven experience in the IT industry.
- Previous sales leadership experience in a similar sized organisation or significant experience as a high performing salesperson.
