We are looking for a highly motivated Inside Sales Manager to take responsibility for developing the regional Inside Sales team to increase lead qualification and sales conversion activities.

The Details...

Reporting to the Director, Inside Sales EMEAI, the successful candidate will take ownership for developing the regional South Inside Sales team in terms of growing leads and sales conversions for new and repeat business, as well as working to ensure the retention and progression of existing customers by actively establishing relationships and delivering up to date product information. A vital part of the role will be to develop partnership between the Inside Sales team, customer service, technical service, and field-based commercial personnel to deliver successful implementation of Nanopore sequencing by the customer. Occasional travel will be required to fulfil role objectives.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing incoming sales leads and nurturing to conversion.
  • Leading and motivating the regional team in lead conversion and account management to agreed KPIs and in line with the sales plan.
  • Delivering up-to-date technical product updates to new and existing customers.
  • Actively implementing sales campaigns at the guidance of the marketing and communication teams.
  • Adhering to best practices for tracking, recording, and detailing relevant commercial intelligence.
  • Providing office-based support to the field sales team in active territories.
  • Supporting the Director, Inside Sales to report to stakeholders on team KPIs.

What We're Looking For...

We'll expect you to have a BSc degree and/or Masters or equivalent experience in Life Sciences, Genetics and Genomics and ideally a PhD level qualification in Life Sciences or a relevant field. You'll have prior sales experience, preferably inside sales and have worked with research/life science customers and you know your way around CRM systems. In addition, you have an understanding of current DNA sequencing technologies and their applications, strong communication and influencing skills and knowledge of the Life Sciences and Genomics market.

You consider one of your key strengths to be your ability to build positive relationships with others, and you're someone who values collaboration. Ideally, you have experience of working in a global team working with field-based staff to deliver territory goals. You're comfortable and confident working in a fast-paced matrixed sales and service environment where you've implemented successful marketing and sales campaigns. You have a positive approach with a can-do attitude and like to use your initiative, yet you're able to exercise good judgement and tact. If you have business level conversation skills in other languages, this would also be of benefit. You're also someone keen to join an innovative, ground breaking, high-tech organisation.
