What we're looking for
We are seeking a seasoned and results-driven individual to join our team as Sales Manager - EMEA. In this role, you will be responsible for driving new business development efforts related to LR OneOcean's cutting-edge Vessel Performance and Emissions Management solutions. As a pivotal member of the Sales team, you will leverage your expertise to identify, cultivate and secure new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maritime solutions sales, with a proven track record of success in strategic business development.

The role

  • Strategic Planning and Execution:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to drive growth and market penetration for vessel performance solutions.
    • Identify and prioritize target markets and customer segments, with a focus on expanding market share.
  • Business Development:
    • Conduct market research to identify potential clients and strategic partnerships.
    • Generate and qualify leads, and develop a robust sales pipeline.
    • Proactively engage with key decision-makers to understand their needs and present tailored solutions.
  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients and key industry stakeholders.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for major clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and engagement.
    • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling to maximize revenue from existing accounts.
  • Sales Process Management:
    • Lead the end-to-end sales process, from initial contact to contract negotiation and closure.
    • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and demonstrations.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth implementation and support for clients.
  • Market Intelligence and Reporting:
    • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and technological advancements.
    • Provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and updates to senior management.
    • Utilize CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) to track and manage sales activities and customer interactions.

What you bring

  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, with a focus on the maritime industry.
    • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a strategic business development role.
  • Skills:
    • Strong strategic thinking and business acumen.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
    • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and industry stakeholders.
    • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
  • Technical Knowledge:
    • Deep understanding of vessel performance solutions and the maritime industry.
    • Ability to articulate technical concepts and value propositions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Personal Attributes:
    • Highly self-motivated and results-oriented.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Willingness to travel extensively as required.
