Sales Executive (maternity cover contract) - eBooks and Online Products UK North

Your role will involve communication of information on our products and services to Higher Education customers and prospects, specifically focusing on library acquisitions managers, attendance at professional meetings and conferences and in-person client visits across the territory. You will be part of the team responsible for the sales and promotion of eBooks and Online resources within the region, reporting to eBook Sales Manager, UK & Ireland.

This could be an ideal opportunity for someone in a sales support or a sales coordinator role to take the next step up into an executive role or to broaden your knowledge and experience by taking on a new challenge

This role will be largely home or hybrid based in the UK, with occasional travel across the region of UK North and to our head office in Milton Park, Oxfordshire. You must have the right to live and work in the UK.

What you will be doing:

  • Working with the eBook Sales Manager, UK & Ireland to establish and execute a sales strategy for the region
  • Maximisingsales revenue to meet or exceed regional targets
  • Maintaining and build a healthy sales pipeline to ensure continued growth
  • Maintain, build, and manage strong working relationships with Sales Agents and other partners
  • Travelling widely in the region to seek out new opportunities and customers, while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients to maximize upselling potential and repeat business
  • To share knowledge, best practice and experience with the wider Taylor and Francis product and sales teams

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working as part of a successful sales orbusiness development team.
  • Demonstrable genuine enthusiasm for sales and a keen interest in continuing to develop your consultative selling skills
  • A customer-focused approach
  • Excellent influencing skills
  • Ability to create and maintain positive and effective relationships with external customers
  • Proactive and independent approach to managing your work
  • A clear communicator both in writing, through remote communication tools and in-person, including confident presentation skills
  • Competent user of core MS Office and familiarity with CRM databases
  • The ability to work remotely as part of a wider team

It would be fantastic if you also had:

  • Some knowledge and experience in academic publishing (or a keen interest in the industry!)
  • Some previous experience of selling into or working with Academic Higher Education library markets
  • Some experience of selling digital content both directly and via third parties.
