Sales Development Manager

  • Key position in our South West Regional Management Team driving the business forward

  • Field based position with frequent travel to our South West agency partner offices

About the role

To support our growth and increase the strength and quality of our network our Sales Management population play a key role, creating a more focused and strategic offering. This means we're looking for a commercially focused senior sales leader to operate as key worker in the regional team and with the potential of responsibility as a line manager.

You'll work with a panel of our Agencies (branches) within the South West region, overseeing and influencing both the 1 and 3 year business plans. You'll support your Agency panel in delivering and embedding change and building effective operating models. These agencies are located in the Bristol to Herefordshire area in the North of the region and regular weekly travel to these customer facing locations will be required.

You'll be playing a key role in enabling our ambitious growth plans through effective sales management, in order to deliver across our full range of products and services.

Alongside the above, you will build and maintain effective relationships with key internal stakeholders and relevant departments as well as the Farming Unions.

This role falls under Insurance Distribution Directive requirements, and as a result, role holders will be required to demonstrate ongoing Continuous Professional Development in role, along with undergoing regular re-screening to show that they are of "Good Repute". About you

You'll be working in a Sales leadership or management role within Insurance or Financial Services and have a track record of career development and the ambition to grow further. You'll possess the following qualities;

  • Leadership skills and experience
  • Ambitious and looking for personal growth
  • Sales and relationship development track record

You'll also be required to study Cert CII so Insurance / Financial Services experience is preferred but not essential as we are primarily seeking someone who is looking to learn and grow in this role
