The Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven Sales and Events Manager to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to lead on all aspects of venue hire and event sales within a world-renowned cultural institution. You will be responsible for growing our events business, converting enquiries into bookings, and overseeing seamless delivery in collaboration with our catering and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full sales cycle for private and corporate events, from initial enquiry through to post-event follow-up.
- Maximise revenue across a range of event types including receptions, dinners, product launches, conferences and brand activations.
- Build strong relationships with clients, event agencies, and internal museum stakeholders.
- Conduct site visits and client meetings to showcase the museum's event spaces and bespoke catering offer.
- Coordinate event planning with our culinary and service teams to ensure outstanding guest experiences.
- Support the marketing of the venue through proactive sales strategies, promotional events, and industry networking.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety, licensing, and museum policies.
About You
- Proven background in event sales and delivery, ideally within a premium venue, caterer, or cultural institution.
- A confident communicator with strong interpersonal and client management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple bookings and timelines.
- A passion for food, hospitality, and delivering unforgettable events.
- Professional, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
