Clarion's Gaming Division is the world's biggest information provider for the global gaming (gambling) sector. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sales Account Manager with strong sales and account management skills to join our Clarion Gaming team. This position is a fast paced and varied B2B commercial role responsible for maximizing revenues across our highly established B2B events, from an existing set of customer accounts.

As a Sales Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of existing clients while also driving new business opportunities. Your primary focus will be to build and nurture relationships, maximize revenue opportunities, and ensure customer success through strategic event sponsorships and brand activations. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven, results-oriented professional to contribute to the success of our events and client partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Management: Oversee a portfolio of 75-100 existing customers, ensuring the delivery of exceptional service and the expansion of business opportunities.
  • Revenue Growth: Identify and capitalize on upsell opportunities, particularly in sponsorship and brand activation, to enhance client engagement at events.
  • New Business Development: Leverage marketing campaigns, incoming leads, and proactive outreach to generate new business opportunities and build a strong sales pipeline.
  • Client Success: Gain a deep understanding of each client's objectives and key performance indicators, aligning event strategies to meet their goals and drive ROI.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, ensuring high satisfaction and continued partnership.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team, the Head of Sales, and other internal teams to drive the success of the commercial strategy.
  • Industry Engagement: Attend and represent the company at key industry events and competitor events across Europe and the US, with a focus on face-to-face meetings with clients whenever possible.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours:

  • Professionalism & Adaptability: Must be a highly social individual who can remain composed under pressure, manage time effectively, and approach each client interaction with a professional and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Commercial Acumen: Strong business sense with a focus on driving revenue growth and meeting sales targets.
  • Networking Expertise: Proven ability to build and maintain a robust network, particularly in face-to-face interactions.
  • Customer-Centric: A client-first mentality, always prioritizing customer needs and ensuring their success is at the heart of everything you do.
  • Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a close-knit, dynamic environment.
  • Previous sales account management experience within a commercial role (any live events or digital media sales experience would be a big bonus)
  • Experience of using CRM systems and preferably Salesforce
  • Exceptional written and oral communication abilities
