As an Account Director, you will lead the growth and development of key accounts while identifying and securing new business opportunities to drive sustainable revenue growth. Working closely with Sales, Marketing, and Pre-Sales teams, you'll combine strategic account management with a consultative approach to create long-term client success and exceed commercial targets.
The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record of growing client relationships, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Day to day you will:
Account Management:
- Own and develop relationships with key client stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to grow revenue within existing accounts through upselling, cross-selling, and strategic account planning.
- Develop and execute account growth strategies to maximise long-term value.
- Lead client meetings, presentations, and commercial negotiations.
- Ensure high levels of client satisfaction & retention.
New Business:
- Identify, prospect, and convert new client opportunities aligned with company strategy.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of new business opportunities.
- Lead end-to-end sales processes, including discovery, solution development, proposal creation, and closing.
Sales Leadership & Collaboration:
- Develop tailored solutions that address client business challenges.
- Create compelling proposals and commercial models.
- Accurately forecast revenue and report on pipeline performance.
- Work closely with delivery, marketing, and leadership teams to ensure successful client outcomes.
- Ensure smooth handover from sales to delivery when onboarding new clients.
Key Performance Indicators:
Success in this role will be measured against a set of key commercial and client-focused performance indicators, including:
- Revenue growth from existing accounts
- New customer acquisition
- Pipeline development and conversion rates
- Client retention and satisfaction
- Achievement of sales targets

Experience and Skills:
- Proven experience in business-to-business sales, account management and/or new business within the Managed Services industry
- A strong understanding of the competitive landscape within the MSP space.
- Track record of growing existing accounts while securing new clients.
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build senior-level client relationships.
- Experience managing complex or consultative sales cycles.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Strong organisational and pipeline management skills.
