Wincanton are looking for an HSEQ Implementation Support Manager, specialising in implementation across our group.

As the largest British logistics Company, we work in industry sectors as diverse as milk, defence, energy, retail, consumer goods and construction, supporting every stage of development and adding value through our supply chain expertise and innovative approach to logistics challenges.

That's where you come in as our HSEQ Implementation Support Manager reporting into our Group HSEQ Manager, you will be working in partnership with our operational leaders, leading the HSEQ & BCP implementations of new start-ups & acquisitions across the business, coaching and leading a safety culture from day one.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Group HSEQ Manager in HSEQ & BCP implementations of new start-ups & acquisitions across the business including involvement in the recruitment of Health & Safety colleagues on those sites, and initial start-up H&S resource planning.
  • Partner with the business on projects with H&S involvement.
  • Support on HSEQ new start up and close down processes.
  • Proactively supporting site locations, contracts and projects when the need arises.
  • Support with accurate reporting to Group level relating to start up activity, H&S KPIs and delivery within budget.
  • Work closely with Group HSEQ Manager on Group HSQ Programme and Campaign delivery.
  • Deliver a best-in-class consistent approach to implementation.

This is a national role and will require travel, a car is included. Ideally candidates will live in the midlands area.

  • Strong planning and organisation of workload, managing priorities in a multi-site environment.
  • Project focused with an eye for detail and analysis, driving positive results from implementation to sustainable long-term results with continuous improvement.
  • Keenness to have a combination of strategic and hands-on tasks and manage a diverse workload.
  • NEBOSH General Cert required, (NEBOSH Diploma Preferable).
