Job Title: Safeguarding Manager
Salary: £27k - £31k + Benefits
Contract Type: Permanent
Line Manager: Head of People
Role Summary: The Safeguarding Manager will champion safeguarding across the Foundation and The Nest, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for participants and staff.
Objectives:
- Ensure compliance with statutory safeguarding regulations and legislations.
- Conduct your duties as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), providing expert advice and decision-making support to staff and volunteers.

Knowledge, skills and experience - desirable
- Currently (or previously) in a senior safeguarding role
- Understanding of safeguarding processes and how to raise concerns with external agencies
- Formal Safeguarding training, relevant Level 4 Safeguarding qualifications (or equivalent experience)
- Understanding of how to manage Welfare & Wellbeing Concerns raised by adults and young people
- Evidence working at a strategic safeguarding level with key stakeholders
- Experience in dealing with challenging situations involving parents, stakeholders, and external agencies sensitively and professionally
Knowledge, skills and experience - desirable
- Experience with providing low level pastoral support for young people
- Experience in training and teaching new skills to learners at different levels to achieve a shared outcome and understanding.
- Experience in prioritising a potentially emotive workload to ensure the best outcomes
