• Felixstowe School - Felixstowe, Suffolk IP11 9QR
• £26,421 - £28,770 pro rata (£23,105 - £25,159 per annum)
• 37 hours per week, 40 weeks per year
• Permanent
• Reference: 6004
• Required from September 2024

Felixstowe School is seeking an excellent candidate who is tenacious and shows attention to detail to provide effective information and support for student safeguarding matters, which continually enhances the quality of pupil safety.

You will:

• act as an alternative designated safeguarding leads
• liaise with external agencies and practitioners from support agencies to ensure the individual needs of the pupils are met
• complete referrals to professional agencies
• attend professionals' meetings for named children
• manage a caseload of students with safeguarding needs
• visit alternative provision providers to ensure safe practice is maintained and pupils are in attendance
• conduct home visits
• assist in the overall raising of student standards and achievements, through raising students' esteem, expectations and aspirations.

The team prides itself on working together and supporting students to remove barriers to learning and maximise their access to the many excellent opportunities available and is keen to appoint a colleague who shares a similar ethos.
