Salary: £50,511 - £58,266 per annum (pro rata - only if part time)

37 Hours per Week

An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Adult Safeguarding Team. We are looking for a Team Manager to lead this highly skilled team. As part of this role, you will manage the Adults Safeguarding, DOLS and Corporate Appointee Teams and oversee all legal intervention cases. You will also be acting as the Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) for Adult Social Care. You will be reporting to the Service Manager for AMHP and Statutory Services.

To be considered for this post, you need to be a Qualified Social Worker (SWE Registration essential) with a Best Interests Assessor Qualification. You must have at least 5 years' experience of working in a Health & Social Care setting and some experience of supervising staff and managing performance and budgets. You should have experience of working in the fields of Safeguarding, DOLS and Court of Protection, with excellent knowledge of the Care Act; s.42 Safeguarding Enquiries and Making Safeguarding Personal; the Mental Capacity Act (MCA) and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DOLS); Deputyship; and any other relevant Social Care Legislation. You will work closely with colleagues in other departments and wider agencies in order to safeguard vulnerable adults in welfare and financial matters.

You will become part of a very stable, award-winning team, where we provide the opportunity for you to grow and develop and join a very innovative and supportive service. The team is busy, but every case is different, and you will be able to draw on a wealth of knowledge and experience from your senior management team, as well as our wider teams. We have adopted the Community Led Support Approach and all our teams work as one big team, in a person-centred way, with the focus being on building on the strengths of the person and the community around them.
