Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive growth for niche shipping products within the area.
  • Identify market opportunities, customer needs, and emerging trends to maximize sales potential.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders in the shipping industry.
  • Understand customer requirements and provide tailored solutions to meet their shipping needs.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Lead and mentor a sales team to achieve individual and collective sales targets.
  • Collaborate with marketing, logistics, and other departments to ensure seamless delivery of products and services.
  • Provide training and development to team members on niche products and sales techniques.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and market research to identify new opportunities and threats. Provide insights on industry trends and competitor activities
  • Monitor sales performance and prepare regular reports for senior management.
  • Set and achieve sales targets for the region, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
  • Optimize the sales pipeline and convert leads into long-term customers.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Become an expert in niche shipping products and services to effectively communicate value propositions to customers.
  • Stay updated on industry innovations, regulations, and best practices to remain competitive.

Qualifications

  • University degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven track record of sales success in a similar role within the shipping, logistics, or transportation industry.
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
  • Strong knowledge of niche shipping products and services.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of FIS and other HL systems.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Result driven team player with a proactive attitude.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Goal and deadline driven.
