We are looking for a Compliance and Development Manager to join our new team working on our recently launched Collective Defined Contribution plan.
About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Pensions Services, you will deliver a professional compliance and development service for the Royal Mail Collective Pension Plan, ensuring alignment with current and emerging UK Pensions framework, Master Trust regulations for Collective DC schemes and Collective Plan scheme rules.
You will also:
• Lead the analysis and implementation of legislative, policy, and client-driven changes to the Royal Mail Pensions framework, ensuring compliance through process and service updates.
• Drive enhancements to the RMCPP administration model, embedding continuous improvement to optimize member experience.
• Manage a small team, fostering development and aligning with Royal Mail values.
• Work closely with the RMCPP Plan Secretary to deliver the Collective Plan's administration work plan, ensuring resource alignment and service capability.
• Define and execute a rolling audit program to assess key risk areas, ensuring compliance with Master Trust regulations and scheme rules.
• Oversee the timely and compliant execution of Trustee-delegated discretions for the Collective Plan and Royal Mail Group Life Assurance Scheme (GLAS).
• Play an active leadership role within the Pensions Senior Leadership Team and the broader HR Services team.
About You:
• Extensive experience as a pension's professional with strong technical expertise in UK pensions (DC and Master Trust in particular, and an understanding of DB and Career Average schemes).
• Proven ability to operate at a senior level, influencing stakeholders and fostering high-quality, collaborative partnerships.
• Track record of delivering solutions and driving change in complex environments, aligning client and stakeholder objectives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex information.
• Strong advocate for continuous improvement, successfully challenging the status quo to drive transformational and incremental change.
• Hold a relevant professional pensions qualification (e.g., Certificate/Advanced Diploma in Pensions Administration, QPA).
