Robotics Change Management Engineer, Robotics Systems Support Engineering

In this role, you will work on system configurations, service integrations and testing of software deployed at Amazon Installations around the world which utilize our mobile robotics platform. You will drive Robotics fleet change management and software retrofit projects to improve the performance, reliability and safety of globally deployed robotic and automation systems. Your role will have a primary focus on new site launches.

Working in close collaboration with Software, Retrofit, Hardware, and Deployment Engineers, you will own integration and retrofit projects from strategic planning through execution and validation.

Key job responsibilities
- Work Sunday through Thursday 7 am - 4 pm UK local time.

- Oversee multiple robotics launches/implementations, upgrade and enhancement projects ensuring program goals are met; identifying opportunities for automation and continuous improvement, and drive change for the identified opportunities.

- Collect the Voice of the Customer (VOC) data and share success stories during the lessons learnt workshops and review with cross-functional partners in Engineering and Operations to demonstrate value and efficiency.

- Create and maintain problem resolution procedures and identify need for new tools to support existing solutions.

- Leverage existing guides, task lists and configuration processes, systems and tools to deploy Software at Amazon Robotics sites around the world.

- Monitor queues, execute changes and respond to issues within defined SLAs.

- May become a subject matter expert in one or more areas or robotics engineering and or program management, serving as a point of escalation on critical issues.

- Develop processes to implement product upgrades on fielded Amazon Robotics products.

- Run configuration studies/pilots and write whitepapers to assess efficacy of changes.

About the team
We are a global team of EU, Australia and US launch and change management engineers who support a vast network of robots across Amazon's fulfillment centers worldwide.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent
- Experience in QA engineering or process improvement
- Working experience with Linux and AWS
- Proven ability to root cause issues, drive improvements, and apply preventive measures

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with at least one automated test framework like Selenium or Appium
- Experience in gathering test requirements to create detailed test plans and defining quality metrics to measure product quality
- Six Sigma certified
