Risk & Compliance Manager, Transportation Risk & Compliance
DESCRIPTION
Join our WW Transportation Risk & Compliance team, partnering with Amazon's Transportation & Logistics leaders to identify and mitigate risk in the rapidly growing and complex, global environment of Last-Mile deliveries.
We are looking for someone with demonstrated experience in Operational Audit, Risk Management, Escalations Management and/or Compliance, who will be in charge of conducting and delivering reviews of 3rd party transportation partners in UK. The right individual has a thorough understanding of the three lines of defense, is capable of managing reviews end-to-end with minimum management oversight, and has demonstrated that he/she is able to partner with different teams across an organization to drive proactive solutions.
Key job responsibilities
- Perform reviews of Third-Parties to verify adherence to applicable laws, standards and Amazon's requirements (employment, safety, operational, etc.)
- Verification, evaluation and assessment of contracted or newly appointed Third-Parties
- Preparation and execution of reviews with a data oriented approach
- Writing of reports (Observations and Recommendations)
- Participation in WW/EU special projects/assignments
About the team
Amazon's Transportation Risk & Compliance (TRC) team identifies risks and its mitigating measures in a rapidly growing and complex, global environment. The TRC team helps all Amazon transportation business units comply with laws and regulations. To support the business, our primary mission is to perform independent and objective risk-based assessments of Amazon business partners and business units. We verify their activities and related controls with the goal of improving operations, compliance, and risk management. To facilitate an effective program, we validate whether each business has identified its regulatory responsibilities and has established effective processes, controls, and self-testing to understand its current compliance status.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience in compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent
- Experience handling confidential information
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional auditing qualification, or similar risk or compliance credentials
- Experience with SQL and Excel
- Experience in program requirements definition, together with data and metrics leveraging to drive improvements
