Reward Lead - UK FSO Talent - Associate Director - Permanent - London
The successful candidate will travel to the London office on a weekly basis.
The Opportunity
Responsible for designing, developing, and implementing compensation programmes for the UK Financial Services firm as a subject matter expert. This role will also be required to partner with the Benefits team to share a holistic view of Total Reward. The role will focus on the strategic development of a firm-wide compensation element. There would also be compensation initiatives this role would be responsible for to support the annual pay review process.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Partners with Talent Director, UK FSO, CFO and People Partners to shape Reward Strategy
- Educates the relevant business stakeholders on the firm's compensation strategy, how we manage pay and how pay links in with Total Reward
- Plays a key role in the management of the annual salary review process providing dedicated support for all Financial Services business areas
- Works with Finance and Operations on fixed/variable pay budgets and promotions
- Works with CFO/People Partners to allocate fixed pay budgets that reflect market and model/apply variable pay budgets that reflect firm and individual performance
- Responsible for all REMCO sign offs for the UK FSO firm
- Ensure that the FSO Salary review is delivered accurately on time and on budget
- Works closely with the Performance Management team to ensure a seamless flow of information to feed into allocation decisions
- Acts as a subject matter expert for the team to ensure effective and accurate submission and interpretation of results from multiple compensation surveys
- Ensures consistency of reward approach between different business areas
- Maintains pay ranges based on external market data for specific business areas and ensures that these pay ranges and pay decisions are fair and equitable
- Liaises with external providers and reward contacts to provide input into best practice
- Ensures employees understand how reward decisions are made to increase trust
- Partners with senior stakeholders to ensure relevant bonus arrangements are impactful
- Ensures that reward programmes comply with global policy/local regulatory requirements
- Manages a Reward Manager and two Analysts
Skills And Attributes For Success
- Responsible for managing all aspects of compensation for the UK Financial Services firm
- Responsible for strategically managing one of the following compensation activities; Fixed pay, variable payor employee recognition.
- Engages with senior stakeholders across different business areas to drive the strategy for UK FSO, whilst identifying opportunities to drive consistency, improvement and best practice across the UK firm; maximising investment spend and delivery.
- Builds and maintains credible relationships with specific business areas and Talent/business stakeholders to deliver high standard compensation services
- Collaborates with colleagues to drive consistency and identify simplification opportunities
- Engages with senior leadership including relevant pay boards (UKI Pay Board/FS People Committee/ROI EQV) responding to complex requests
- Partners with Benefits colleagues to help further develop our Total Reward proposition
