Hours: 40 hours per week
Location: Rotherham

ALS Laboratories is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Retailer Technical Manager to lead our retailer food and near-food due diligence services within the Technical Services department. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional to manage a committed team, liaise with key clients, and handle a variety of technical and operational challenges.

We are looking for a confident and resilient individual who is ready to step up to this challenging and rewarding role.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Leading and managing the team to deliver excellent service to our key account client
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for retailer clients, providing regular updates and support
  • Overseeing the monitoring, planning, and management of retailer due diligence work within the department
  • Offering technical support to retailer clients on queries and projects as part of ALS' added value Consultancy services
  • Collating necessary data and providing frequent updates to retailer clients

About You:

  • A scientific background at degree level, preferably in Food Sciences or Nutrition Sciences
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills
  • A strong understanding of regulatory requirements within the food and near-food industry
  • Leadership qualities with a hands-on, adaptable approach to managing and supporting a team
  • Excellent communication skills to build rapport and foster strong client relationships
  • Strong computer literacy skills and a keen attention to detail with a methodical approach
  • A good understanding of the food industry, clients, and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) requirements
