Retail Vendor Experience Finance Manager, FinOps Business Partnering

We're seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our Finance Operations Business Partnership team, focusing on worldwide Retail Vendor Experience (VX). In this strategic role, you'll lead initiatives to enhance the vendor payment experience across our global retail operations.
Your work will be crucial in creating a frictionless vendor experience that minimizes the need for manual intervention and support inquiries.

Key job responsibilities
• Drive improvements in procure-to-pay and order-to-cash vendor payment processes.
• Develop and monitor key operational and business metrics.
• Prepare and lead global operational reviews and improvement initiatives to senior leaders.
• Partner with multiple teams including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Service Centers, Technology, and Retail Support.
• Collaborate with Retail Finance and operational teams across all organizational levels.

A day in the life
• Schedule and prepare materials for leadership meetings, including performance reports and improvement proposals
• Provide regular status updates to senior leadership on key initiatives
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across all levels of the organization
• Lead problem-solving sessions with cross-functional teams
• Perform deep-dive analysis to identify root cause issues and develop data-driven recommendations
• Host regular check-ins with technology teams to discuss system enhancements and automation opportunities
• Coordinate with AP and AR teams on short, medium and long term solutions
• Monitor industry trends and best practices to suggest process innovations

About the team
Business Partnership (BP), an extension of FinOps Services, connects local FinOps expertise with in-country Business, Finance, and Technology teams to develop world-class solutions for customers. Our primary focus is maintaining high engagement with FinOps Services and business units to support AP and AR operations. BP manages various initiatives including business expansions, regulatory changes, and acquisitions, ensuring FinOps Services' readiness for new activities. Through deep engagement with Business and Technology teams, BP identifies and resolves root causes of issues to drive efficiency. BP creates value by coordinating teams to address controllership risks and maximize FCF opportunities during rapid growth.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or a Bachelor's degree and experience in quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance)
- Experience in tax, finance or a related analytical field
- Experience in multiple finance and accounting roles
- Experience in accounts receivable or account payable
- Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses
- Experience in building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making
- Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis
- Experience participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience in identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan
- Experience in solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits)
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
