ABOUT THIS ROLE
Reporting to the Director of ecommerce, the retail media manager's (RMM) key objective is to drive retailer sales more effectively - living and breathing KPI's.
Working in collaboration with Amazon (80%) and Key Accounts Managers for SEP (Very, Boots etc.) (20%) to inspire, excite, and bring the ghd brand to life across all retail media platforms.
Through planning, implementing, and executing effective, innovative, and ambitious marketing activities, the RMM will contribute to profitable growth & the delivery of financial targets for the UK and Irelands online consumer channels.
''UK and Ireland'' is the largest and most developed markets for ghd. It is a critical territory for the sustainability of the brand at a global level. Consequently, the RMM is a key role within the marketing organisation to ensure brand advocacy and the perfect implementation is executed as a flagship market.
LOCATION
This role will be based in our London (Soho) office, and we offer a hybrid working pattern of 3 days in the office and 2 days WFH.
JOB ROLE AND RESPONSIBILTIES
- Creating a roadmap for the growth of retail media for ghd. Driving the conversation forward and ensuring ghd are investing in the right activations and with the right retailers.
- You will be responsible for leading and evolving our retail media strategy and execution, collaborating with the global team and retail media leadership in other markets.
- Take responsibility for the delivery of wider team deliverables (such as commentary, reporting, and innovation).
- Seeking out opportunities for testing and taking ownership of these testing plans to organise both tactical, and mid-term campaign actions and goals, and manage the planning, execution & evaluation of tests with methodical accuracy.
- Be seen as the expert when it comes to retail media and be able to communicate with retailers clearly and confidently, providing them with useful insight, with support being provided as required.
- Plan, coordinate and execute an exciting and engaging Online Retail media marketing programme to build awareness, interest, and purchase intent amongst target consumers.
- KPI obsessed to optimise performance, striving to develop lead retailer partnership status by delivering results
- Own the retail marketing relationships to develop, nurture and challenge the status quo on onsite execution, investments and full 360-degree campaigns
- Budget planning and tracking of investments
- Be a key stakeholder in agency management for Amazon marketing cloud.
- Own the marketing dashboards tracking all retail media KPIs.
- Stay abreast of new retail media developments by attending key events and trade shows. Continuously update own knowledge of market trends & activities including competitive activity and feed into the wider marketing strategy
- Be a key stakeholder in the digital optimisation of the business - helping our strategic partners shape their ecommerce roadmap.
- Immerse self in the wonderful and dynamic world of the beauty industry building your network, representing ghd and inspiring consumers and retailers across all ghd activations.
- Arrange Virtual and Physical events and activities for key Online Retail Partners.
- Develop a differentiation strategy for key retail partners, optimisng their USP and unique customer profiles.
- Work collaboratively with the Premium retail/salon trade marketing executives to share ideas and costs.
- Continuously improve systems, data accuracy, reporting and information.
- Manage all brand and campaign materials to support activities across the Online Retail Channel.
- Ensure ghd looks 'Best in Class' across all Online retail Partners platforms, working with the ghd global teams to evolve our digital assets
- ghd sales in absolute, and sales growth.
- Return on investment from marketing activities and initiatives (mix of qualitative and quantitative measures).
- EMV from SEP influencer partnerships maintaining an SEP 'Tribe' dashboard.
- On shelf tracking KPIs, SEO ranking, PDP optimisation and a great % share of voice.
REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience activating campaigns across retail media networks
- Amazon Advertising Agency management
- Ability to work under pressure within deadlines and able to prioritise own workload.
- Ability to remain agile in the face of an ever-changing marketing landscape.
- Experience of successfully implementing and executing marketing activities.
- Ability to understand commercial priorities and respond accordingly.
- Understanding of UK retail and the UK beauty industry.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Computer literate and proficiency with MS applications, especially PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Passion, energy, and aspiration in line with ghd products, brand, values & people.
- A consummate marketing professional and commercially astute.
- Strong self-awareness, communication, networking, and interpersonal skills.
