Role Summary

  • The post holder is required to ensure the provision and maintenance of a high quality catering services to patients, staff and visitors.
  • To organise and manage on a day to day basis the retail service teams both in the main kitchen and with in all the catering retail units in providing catering support ensuring the provision of an efficient, hygienic and quality service whilst meeting the needs of all staff, visitors and patients.
  • To ensure that all duties and responsibilities are carried out in association with the role of first line management.
  • The post holder will be responsible for the daily catering services management on the Trust's Eastern Services sites.
  • To ensure that services comply with E.H.O, national guidance and legislation and Trust policies.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and hard-working Catering Retail Manager. You will be working in a modern restaurant and retail environment serving fresh, seasonal produce using local suppliers. The post holder will be a key member of the Estates & Facilities Division with responsibility for the day to day planning, organising and co-ordinating of Catering retail services across multiple sites. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated individual with proven experience who is able to manage a large team in a very busy environment. The post holder will have a thorough knowledge of the procedures and practices relating to Food Safety legislation. We are looking for someone with the vision and enthusiasm to help improve services in an ever changing and exciting sector.

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday 08:00 to 16:00 with a degree of flexibility required to meet operational need.
