We are looking for a Responsible Investment Director to join the RLAM Responsible Investment (RI) team on a permanent basis in London.

This is an exciting opportunity to support the commercial success of RLAM by facilitating excellent client experience and successful delivery of responsible investment activity across the business. Reporting into the Head of Responsible Investment, you will be responsible for facilitating and executing consistent and high-quality flow of RI information between the RI team, external clients, investment desks, distribution, technology & change, the RLAM Executive Committee and RL Group.

You will help to continually embed RI into our operations, client communications, reporting, policies and procedures. You will also lead or support external client meetings, as well as gather insights and feedback internally and externally in order to make continual improvements to our internal processes, policies, disclosures and client service.

Although this role reports to the Head of Responsible Investment and is expected to play a key leadership role in RLAM's Responsible Investment (RI) team, the activities and outcomes need to be cross-functional to support an enterprise-wide RI approach.

About the role

• Senior RI team member contributing to the business strategy of being a leader in responsible investment.
• Continually provides feedback on emerging best practice, trends and regulation, both internally and based on client feedback.
• Key RI team contact for client experience and lead or support for client and external meetings.
• Supports the efficient functioning and organisation of the RI team by tracking key deliverables and project planning and support.
• Responsible for ensuring RI policies, procedures, client-facing material, presentations, and regulatory disclosures continue to reflect client requirements and best RI practice in the market.
• Leads effective delivery of high-quality RI content and communications across RLAM (internally, as well as with clients).
• Leads cross-functional efforts to reflect client requirements, trends and feedback into internal RI practices and externally facing RI communications.

• Demonstrable experience working in asset management with knowledge/understanding of responsible investing, working with investment teams and wider supporting functions.
