Job Description
Resource Centre Team Manager | 7814 | permanent contract | 37 hours per week | £48,610 to £52,594 per annum | Grade L | King's Lynn
We have ambitious plans to shape how we work with families, placing practitioners and relationship-based practice at the heart of what we do. Through Vital Signs, our vision for Children in Norfolk, we work with whole family networks and across the whole system to support families to build on their strengths and to achieve the best possible outcomes.
We have an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced individual, with a passion for improving outcomes for disabled children. Marshfields is a short break home which provides emergency and time limited specialist care for young people of either gender aged between 5-17 years with complex needs, where either family, foster care, or other community-based placements are not possible or desirable at the time.
You will have a Social Work, Nursing or Occupational Therapy qualification, a knowledge of disability issues and experience of working with disabled children and their families.
You will lead a team in providing direct care and support to young people who attend Marshfields ensuring that Ofsted regulations are embedded within practice.
The service works across the county with children with learning/physical disabilities and may include those with complex health needs and challenging behaviour.
You will be a positive role model, supporting and leading a staff team which will include providing professional supervision, performance discussions, and planning and implementing training, including the induction of new staff.
You also will hold the registration with Ofsted for Marshfields, so an experience in working within residential care in a managerial position is essential.
You will have experience and knowledge of safeguarding procedures, will contribute to key planning and decision-making regarding children's care, and will work in partnership with other professionals. The position will involve being part of an on-call system and may include working occasional evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
