A responsible Individual / Senior Manager within Children's Residential Services for Lancashire County Council.

Where Our Children Live (WOCL) is a programme of work that is supporting the vision "Lancashire homes for Lancashire children". To achieve this, our ambition is to expand on our current residential resource and provide care for our most vulnerable children by creating additional Children's Homes. We are seeking the appointment of a Responsible Individual / Senior Manager to support us with this.

Lancashire County Council currently has a network of solo, dual, complex, and mainstream children's homes as well as short break units and adolescent support units. The role of the Responsible Individual / Senior Manager is diverse and varied and includes supervising the management and delivery of a cluster of these homes, ensuring regulatory requirements are not just met, but exceeded.

As the Responsible Individual, you will provide leadership, guidance, and support to a team of Registered Managers and be able to promote our strength based approach to practice and compassionate leadership.

Stability and Support: You will be joining a stable Senior Management team and be supported by a dedicated Head of Service. You will receive regular 1:1 supervision, mentoring and coaching, as well as peer support through our buddy system and access to the wider Council's full health and wellbeing package. As a Local Authority employee, you will also be supported by the wider Children's Services and have access to regular networking events with managers from other Services and Directorates and the opportunity to share learning and good practice between social work teams and the Children's Residential Service

We offer over 50 internal free training courses, as well as the opportunity to gain formal qualifications up to Degree level, regular management development days, conferences, and external training events. Professional Networking: As a Responsible Individual / Senior Manager within a Local Authority, you will work with Lancashire children who are supported by a Lancashire social worker and Lancashire partners/stakeholders. This post requires a social work qualification. You must be registered with SWE (Social Work England) to be appointed into a post where a social work qualification is required
