Researcher Development Manager (Fixed-Term to January 2027)
This job is brought to you by Jobs/Redefined, the UK's leading over-50s age inclusive jobs board.
Supporting a vibrant research community takes creativity, organisation and the kind of teamwork that brings ideas to life. If you enjoy shaping events, strengthening networks and helping people feel part of something bigger, this role offers a chance to do exactly that.
Working within our Research Culture & Environment Team, you will play an important part in delivering activities that support Leeds Beckett's research community. You'll help bring together researchers at every career stage through development opportunities, community events and communications that enhance engagement and build belonging.
Your work will be varied and hands-on. You'll support the coordination and delivery of initiatives such as:
- the annual Festival of Research & Knowledge Exchange and the Research & Knowledge Exchange Awards
- the monthly programme of the LBU Early Career Researcher (ECR) Network
- community events for our PGR researchers, including writing retreats and networking activities
- the refresh of our induction and online resources for researchers
actions linked to PRES, CEDARS and HR Excellence in Research
We're looking for someone who enjoys working collaboratively, communicates well with different groups, and feels confident managing multiple projects at pace. You'll bring experience in coordinating development activities or large-scale events, building constructive relationships with stakeholders, and producing clear communications that inform and engage.
This role sits within our Research & Enterprise Service, an area that is strengthening its support for research culture and researcher development. You'll be joining a small, friendly and busy team where ideas are welcome, initiative is encouraged and your work will directly impact the experience of our research community.
