What you'll do Reporting directly to the Senior New Car Sales Manager, this role will support in driving the business performance through rigorous data evaluation and interpretation. You will be responsible for providing investigation and recommendations to the wider Commercial Operations group, identifying challenges and opportunities for making choices and achieving business goals. You will also be involved in supporting and developing the channel strategy and recommendations for car line mix

  • Produce and investigate data to identify challenges and opportunities for achieving business goals
  • Use accurate data and reporting to create network engagement in line with VCUK commercial objectives
  • Manage the creation of daily, monthly, and quarterly data packs that analyse the business's performance against key performance indicators
  • Support with setting KPI's and targets for all New Car Sales departments
  • Build analytic models and dashboards for actionable insights
  • Provide data and use evaluation of this data to help drive the UK strategy for New Cars and promote the EV strategy overdrive
  • Use data to effectively manage and coordinate the business area ensuring VCUK delivers against the annual plan and budget
  • Manage the creation of accurate and informative presentations for use by the Senior New Car Sales Manager UK when presenting to the retail network and internally.
  • Contribute to trading meetings from a commercial operations perspective on performance connecting with all relevant departments
  • Create monthly Volume & Financial Reporting
  • Manage resources available to ensure the wider function keeps within budget
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with stakeholders and internal staff of all levels
  • Work closely with the Network Operations, A&R and Driving and Revenue teams to drive new car KPIs across volume delivery and consumer experience
  • Develop strong links with the Distribution team to enable a seamless experience
  • Continually evaluate the effectiveness of the function and seek to improve processes to maximise efficiencies both to internal stakeholders and the Retailer network
  • Continuous review of processing efficiency and control effectiveness, ensuring maximum efficiencies are delivered within an effective minimum control framework
  • Provides leading-edge products and services ensuring that VCUK retains its competitive edge as a premium service provider
  • Continually evaluates the effectiveness of the function and seeks to improve

Qualifications

  • A collaborative leader, with experience in building relationships
  • Excellent communication skills with experience communicating at all levels of business, including up to most senior level
  • Situational adaptability in an environment with shifting demands
  • Good knowledge of Sales and Aftersales in an automotive environment
  • Ability to take ownership and accountability to provide solutions and recommendations.
  • Strong familiarity with new car sales volume strategy and best practice
  • Able to seek information from multiple sources to provide cohesive recommendations
  • Excellent logical and critical thinking skills
  • Initiative-taking approach/confidence with liaising at EMT level
