We are looking for an experienced regulatory lawyer to join our Business Crime & Regulatory Investigations Team (part of the firm's Dispute Resolution department).
The Team:
Our 100+ dispute resolution lawyers work on a diverse range of complex challenges facing their clients in the private and public sector.
Our Business Crime & Regulatory Investigations Team advises corporates, and their boards and directors, on business-critical issues concerning corporate/financial crime and regulatory enforcement. They specialise in crisis management, corporate and director liability, undertaking corporate internal investigations, engaging with regulators and defending complex investigations and prosecutions.
We are looking for a lawyer with strong experience in regulatory enforcement. In particular, we are interested in speaking to those with experience of advising corporates in relation to large scale investigations and prosecutions.
At Burges Salmon you will have the opportunity to be involved in varied work load, including; corporate manslaughter, inquests, health and safety, internal investigations, and reputational and public relations issues. You will be regularly working with corporate clients to review and avoid legal risks in the areas most relevant to them.
You can expect to be involved in a range of high profile, complex cases from the outset of your career with us. As your experience grows, you will assume prime responsibility for key aspects of cases. You will work closely with highly regarded Partners, including "The Lawyer - Hot 100" ranked Partner, Charlotte Whitaker.

Requirements:
- Practical experience of some or all of the following:
- Large-scale Inquests
- Advising businesses on complex regulatory issues
- Advising in relation to health & safety compliance and regulatory risk
- Able to work well within a team.
- Excellent interpersonal, client and commercial skills
- Adaptable and able to deal with complex work under pressure
- SRA registered lawyer
