The skills and experience you will have under your belt

  • Brilliant product management skills - with the ability to develop product oversight, governance and drive product compliance performance
  • Ability to identify business & customer risks, design mitigating actions and implement the required changes
  • Ability to deliver change within a large organisation
  • Ability to manage senior stakeholders to support and deliver business change
  • Good presentation skills
  • Strong ability to manage, analyse & interpret MI
  • Demonstrable professionalism with a proven ability to operate in a complex, fast paced matrixed business
  • Experience working within a regulated product management environment
  • Ideally compliance experience, within a financial services regulated environment
  • Ideally experience working across insurance products and services
  • Experience of stakeholder management, within a complex challenging environment

Why this job matters

This role sits within the Financial Services, Insurance & Security team who define and take to market standout propositions to ensure momentum and value growth for Consumer. Also leading on Insurance, Trade in, Repairs, Financial services and other elements of the After Sales P&L.

This is a new and key role within the Insurance & Aftersales team. The role holder will help to deliver EE's Insurance product roadmap by gaining new Insurance regulatory permissions (as regulated by the FCA) through implementing a range of changes, across multiple business areas. The new insurance permissions underpin delivery of our exciting product expansion strategy. The individual will establish a world class product governance framework - monitoring, reporting and mitigating product, commercial, customer and compliance risks. These will be presented to the monthly Group Financial Services Governance Committee & Conduct Risk Forum, as well as reviewed with our Insurers. The individual will ensure EE's insurance products & services are working as expected & delivering across the balanced business scorecard (customer, risk, service & sales etc).

What you'll be doing

  • Work cross functionally to deliver against FCA Permissions for our Consumer Insurance products - by implementing a range of highlighted business changes
  • Develop a world class product governance framework, ensuring EE's products continue to meet the demands and needs of our customers (which we can evidence to internal (i.e. SMT, Compliance) & external stakeholders (i.e. FCA)
  • Identify any emerging product and/or customer risks or threats, working with key stakeholders to mitigate them
  • Ensure any new products or propositions EE decides to launch meets consumers' segmented needs
  • Attend the monthly Financial Services Governance Committee & Conduct Risk Forum on behalf of Props, presenting Insurance product risks, issues and mitigating actions etc
  • Ensure EE's products are performing well across the business scorecard (commercial, customer, service, risk etc)
