Regulatory Change Analyst/Manager | 12 Months | Hybrid | £80-90k doe | London

his role is centered on supporting the Regulatory Change & Control team in analyzing and implementing changes required for Basel 3.1, as well as addressing remediation efforts in calculations, reporting, and documentation. A key aspect of the role involves contributing to a remediation project aimed at strengthening controls and processes across the regulatory reporting and business finance teams, with a particular focus on COREP capital and liquidity returns submitted to the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA).

The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with the Head of Regulatory Policy to evaluate the new Basel 3.1 rules, review existing reporting processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive the implementation of necessary changes.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Head of Regulatory Policy to analyze and document the impact of Basel 3.1 rules.
  • Develop business requirement documents for process updates.
  • Create or refine processes, ensuring adherence to end-user computing (EUC) standards.
  • Update procedural documentation and record new interpretations and assumptions.
  • Engage with business finance and IT teams to source additional data requirements.
  • Prepare basis of preparation documents for revised or new regulatory returns.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) for implemented changes.

Process and Control Enhancements

  • Evaluate reporting processes to identify potential improvements and compile a prioritized enhancement list.
  • Collaborate with the reporting team to implement and test process enhancements.
  • Work with the Finance Assurance team to identify control deficiencies and implement remediation plans for both business finance and regulatory reporting teams.
  • Ensure all processes are thoroughly documented and comply with EUC standards.
  • Coordinate with business finance teams to ensure assumptions and adjustments for regulatory data are well-documented, centrally maintained, and governed effectively.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in prudential regulatory reporting with in-depth knowledge of prudential regulations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent organizational skills and self-motivation.
  • Strong written and oral communication abilities.
  • Alteryx experience is desirable
