We are seeking an experienced Regional Transport Manager to oversee transport operations within a defined region, ensuring best practices and driving efficiencies.

Role Purpose:

As the Regional Transport Manager, you will manage our transport operations across the Southern region, covering several community service centres from Kent to Plymouth, acting as a subject matter expert. You'll ensure consistency in practices regionally and nationally, collaborating with Regional Operations Directors and senior stakeholders to provide the highest level of service.

In this role, you'll proactively manage transport operations, driving efficiencies while balancing business needs and service excellence. You'll be responsible for improving occupational road risk management and ensuring compliance with all transport regulations. Collaborating with the Regional Driver Trainer, you'll develop and enhance training plans, fostering a performance-driven culture within the transport community.

You'll act as a key point of contact for resolving issues promptly, overseeing route planning and forecasting. Promoting Health and Safety protocols, you'll report near misses and incidents, maintaining the highest standards of safety. Ensuring accurate reporting and monitoring, including telematics and driver performance, will be essential. Additionally, you'll manage labour profiling to ensure efficient service, including recruitment and workforce planning.

About you:

You're proven in Transport Operations Management, in a similar position, with knowledge of transport-related software and experience setting standard operating procedures. You'll have demonstrated ability to manage managers and transport/logistics teams, along with an understanding of transport-related compliance. When it comes to handling data and information, you'll have strong reporting and presentation skills for senior stakeholders and a deep understanding of transport/logistics operations.

While not mandatory, knowledge of NRS Healthcare, experience in senior stakeholder management, proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Outlook and Excel), a transport/logistics management qualification, and experience or qualification in continuous improvement are advantageous.
