Regional Sales Manager - US

The Opportunity:

Our client, a manufacturer of electrical distribution equipment, has partnered with ML6 in their search for Regional Sales Managers to join their US Sales team! In this role, you would be responsible for identifying, strategizing, providing technical resources and building business relationships with manufacturing representatives and end-users to grow sales in the region.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Achieve or exceed sales targets for all products
  • Maximize sales potential with existing accounts
  • Grow customer base and gain customer approvals of various products
  • Build positive working relationship with existing customers and channel partners
  • Lead and manage local channel partners
  • Manage the flow of information and communications with customers and channel partners
  • Provide direction to the manufacturing team in support of customer needs
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge of products and services, to understand customer needs and provide appropriate solutions
  • Effectively present to customers and agents the product differentiation offered
  • Develop and prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts and schedule plan for assigned territory
  • Collect and analyze competitive market data, market share, pricing and develop recommendations to adjust sales strategies
  • Provide field training, product demonstrations to customers and channel partners
  • Attend applicable trade shows, conferences and seminars as needed

What You'll Need to Be Successful:

  • 5+ years of sales experience in the electric utility market
  • Knowledge of MV: switchgear, transformers, electrical distribution network and substations
  • Experience in managing channel partners
  • Excellent negotiating and business closing skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on relationship/team building
  • Strong motivation and initiative, self-starter and accountability for results
  • Excellent communication skills, to both technical and non-technical customers
  • Well established organizational, time-management, and presentation skills
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships and collaborations, both internally and externally
  • Demonstrated achievement in business development and/or product management within relevant industry sectors
  • Valid Driver's License and passport
