Are you ready to take on a pivotal role at Atlas Copco Power Technique? We are seeking a dynamic and driven Regional Sales Manager - Pumps to join our team. At Atlas Copco, we are committed to sustainable productivity and innovation. As a Regional Sales Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth of our pump sales, including a range of surface-mounted, diesel and electric dewatering pumps, across the UK and Ireland. You will ensure profitable growth via direct and indirect channels for the entire range of pumps into all market sectors including construction, mining, quarrying, and mineral extraction. You will actively assist in the identification, conversion and management of new and existing channels for pump sales into the UK and Irish markets. You will report to the General Manager and be based in a field role covering the UK and Ireland.

Your role:

  • Growing and promoting the sale of our automatic self-priming and self-priming electric and diesel pumps, accessories, hoses, and ancillary equipment in the UK and Irish.
  • Providing full support to existing and new distributors/resellers in their sales activities, including customer visits.
  • Providing sales support, and creating comprehensive technical and commercial quotations.
  • Liaising with all members of the sales team with regards to leads & enquiries.
  • Resolving customer complaints and associated product problems.
  • Demonstrating, evaluating, and coordinating all related pump products.
  • Providing training for internal and external service personnel and sales teams.
  • Offering technical support to customers from pre-order stages, including pump selection and operational guidance.
  • Ensuring all work is undertaken in accordance with company procedures and as required with ISO9001:2008 and environmental management systems.
  • Liaising with group HQ for market share stats and development opportunities.
  • Being active within relevant trade associations such as the BPMA.
  • Undertaking ad-hoc and project work, including the integration and successful launch of new products.
  • Attending and leading technical and commercial meetings, driving contract negotiations.
  • Collaborating with various company departments to optimise customer service.
  • Gathering relevant market intelligence and contributing to potential case studies or technical articles.
  • Utilising the CRM system effectively for sales enhancement and business intelligence reporting.

To succeed, you will need:

  • Proven experience in selling automatic self-priming and self-priming pumps.
  • Currently working within the area of OEM pumps sales.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • PC literacy and good presentation skills.
  • A current driving licence.
  • This is a home-based role that involves frequent and extensive travel within the UK and Ireland, with occasional overseas trips.
