What will you do on your journey with WebBeds?

WebBeds is the world's fastest growing provider of accommodation distribution services to the travel industry. Our products incorporate distribution APIs, payment integrations, ERP integration, Data Lakes, User Interfaces, and others. Our search API reach peaks of more than 50.000 requests per second, each one consisting of tens or hundreds of hotels, with continued expansion.

In this role you will:

The principal role is to ensure the growth of business from the DACH market, this to be done from the retention and development of the existing key accounts assigned you as well as securing business from new clients.

You will be selling the DMC services of JacTravel which is established in the destinations of Scotland, England, Ireland and has an ever-growing presence in Europe, France particularly. You will report into the Head of Sales for the DACH market, work closely with the sales teams in Europe who will put together the offers as well as the contracting and customer delivery teams. You will play an active role in setting the Sales plan for the DACH market and its delivery, using JacTravel's CRM system as a key sales tool as well as relevant KPIs to monitor performance.

As with any Sales Role, your success in the role will be measured against the level of new business your endeavours deliver for the business.

Key elements to this role include, but not limited to:

  • With input from the HOS, put in place sales activity plans for DACH market which will generate enough new sales inquiries to enable delivery of targets.
  • Manage resultant Sales Pipeline thus ensuring it is strong enough to deliver the targets that have been set for each destination, react to situation if it is not.
  • Achieve personal targets for new sales.
  • Account Manage clients assigned to you, ensuring we are on top of year on year bidding process, retaining existing tours and winning new business from them.
  • Achieve personal Growth targets on existing accounts.
  • Represent JacTravel at key trade shows as required.
  • Travelling to meet new/existing clients as required.
  • Keep the CRM system updated and accurate.
  • Oversee bidding process from start to finish for big opportunities.
  • Liaise with Marketing team, agree on activity through the year.
  • Create new itineraries, new ideas to present to clients.
  • Regular follow-up on quotes, conduct regular sales and contact calls.
  • Produce regular special offers to be sent to existing and potential customers.
  • Know the planning cycles for all your markets, providing the right products and prices within client deadlines.
  • Become familiar and keep up to date with each destination we offer, what are the new products available, our key hotels, our strengths, and challenges in each market.
  • Become familiar and keep up to date with the DACH market, who are the key players within the various segments, who are our competitors, what is new in terms of trade shows, marketing possibilities, be aware of changes both at a micro and macro level that will affect our business.
  • Work closely with internal teams including Marketing, Operations and Contracting to articulate the needs of our client base and foster a collaborative approach across the broader JacTravel business.
  • Act as brand ambassador for JacTravel and drive the importance of us as a key hotel and services supplier by increasing market share relative to competitors.

The skills we would love to see in your suitcase!

  • University degree or equivalent related professional experience
  • Strong contacts with tour operators, travel agents, consortia etc
  • Fluent in German
  • Experienced Sales manager with proven record in sales within travel industry
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and comfort working with partner contacts at every level
  • Strong knowledge of the UK, Ireland and Europe as a destination
  • A solid working knowledge of Microsoft applications and the internet
  • Ability to make decisions and to work on own initiative and in a team
  • Strong relationship management skills with external and internal stakeholders
  • Outstanding analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, able to use data to identify underlying trends and make informed commercial decisions
  • Ability to prioritize workload managing multiple projects with new and existing partners
  • Solution-based approach to sales with a solid understanding of various segments with market
  • Strong commercial instinct and entrepreneurial drive combined with the ability to think creatively and take initiative to execute effectively
  • Strong knowledge of the competitive set
  • Ability to travel up to 40%
  • A valid passport enabling travel and work throughout Europe
  • Owner of a reliable vehicle
